Items NOT Accepted: light bulbs, household batteries, VHS tapes, CDs, items containing Freon like dehumidifiers and air conditioners, liquids or items containing liquids, large appliances, mercury switches, and thermostats. Items Accepted: computer parts & accessories, servers, monitors, TVs and accessories, cables, electronic games, gaming consoles including handheld, phones and music players, microwaves, radios and holiday lights. The mobile Shredding Unit will be available on the downtown square in front of the Chamber of Commerce on Friday, April 29th from 10:00 a.m. Volunteers will be available to help unload your vehicle. Saturday near the south entrance to the municipal grounds at 52700 Van Dyke. Staples has a program for customers to recycle ewaste by bringing their used computers, monitors, laptops, and desktop printers, and fax machines to any U.S.
R&J Recycling and Disposal is located at 306 FM 2468, right before you reach the Portacool plant. Shelby Township will be holding a free electronics recycling program from 9 a.m. You may take your electronics (only electronics) to R&J Recycling and Disposal on Friday, April 22nd between the hours of 8am and 4pm. The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce announces there will be an Electronic Recycle Day on Friday, April 22nd and a Shred Day on Friday, April 29th.
